Title: Best Friends Artist: J. D. J. Media Type: Black & white Digital Print Size: 24 inches x 18 inches ( 61 cm x 45.7 cm) This Photograph was taken in 2002 as a wildlife practice shot. While finishing up a roll of film, the photographer noticed a group of small birds flocking together. Every once in a while, they would peck at each other and bump one another, but they always stuck together. After flying here and there, the birds conveniently landed on an old and worn fence nearby. The photographer quickly noticed a chance to practice framing and shoot wildlife; and so, took the shot. This test shot's simplicity allows it to blend well as a Black and White photo, and it adds to the overall calming effect of the image. Consequently, the vast sky, wide field, and worn fence is reminiscent of a carefree and simpler time. Moreover, the birds' content appearance and unified direction suggests they have a strong bond and similar goals, like close friends. All of this was then combined to come up with the title of this poster. |
